On September 3, 2026, the Macao Economic, Trade, Tourism, and Investment Promotion Seminar (Malaysia) was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur. Serving as the concluding event of the Southeast Asia tour undertaken by the economic and trade delegation from Macao, Hengqin, and the Mainland, the seminar brought together over 300 representatives from government and business sectors across these regions and Malaysia. The event facilitated nearly 120 business matching sessions, resulted in the realization of multiple cooperative outcomes, and further deepened bilateral economic and trade ties between China and Malaysia. Baotian was part of the visiting business delegation and actively participated in all economic and trade exchange activities throughout the seminar.
The promotional event featured a business matchmaking session where Baotian engaged in discussions with representatives from the local Malaysian business community. Leveraging Malaysia's well-established Halal industry infrastructure, the parties explored strategies for introducing nutritional and wellness products—designed for all age groups—to the Malaysian market. During the visit, the economic and trade delegation from Macao, Hengqin, and the Mainland met with Malaysian authorities responsible for Halal certification to gain firsthand insights into the country's Halal industry and the development of its biomedical sector. For Baotian, these visits provided a valuable opportunity to understand local policies and industry regulations, offering critical guidance for the company's future certification processes and the establishment of distribution networks.
As early as July of this year, Baotian officially submitted a complete set of Halal certification application materials to the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), becoming the first manufacturing enterprise from Macao to apply for Halal accreditation in the country. The value of JAKIM certification extends beyond Malaysia itself; leveraging systems of official mutual recognition among multiple nations, it serves as a crucial entry credential for companies seeking to tap into Islamic consumer markets in regions such as Indonesia and the Middle East. This series of business matchmaking sessions, institutional visits, and industry exchanges in Kuala Lumpur has further broadened the scope for cooperation and development opportunities for the brand within the ASEAN region.
Leveraging its roots in Macau and the industrial dividends of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone, Baotian’s participation in the delegation’s series of economic and trade exchanges in Malaysia marks a significant step in its strategy to expand into the ASEAN market. This concludes the delegation's successful overseas tour across Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Moving forward, Baotian will consolidate the insights gained from these three regions to refine its product solutions and partnership strategies for the ASEAN market. By seizing regional development opportunities and deepening the integration of its brand with Southeast Asia, the company aims to steadily accelerate the overseas expansion of this homegrown Macau brand.
